Weekly Check-In – Date Night.

date night

Hey Lovelies, welcome back to my weekly check-in, hope you all had a good week. We got a date night this week while Baby bear was on a play date at a friend’s house. With living away from family and then Covid we haven’t had a date night out of the house in a while so when Baby bear when for a play date and dinner with a friend we jumped at the opportunity. Anyway, here is how our week has been,

Monday was a good day at work followed by our date night. We booked the table for 4 which is a little early but we wanted to not have to rush eating before going to pick Baby bear up. It was amazing to have some one-on-one time with each other.

Tuesday was a busy day with working till late then coming home to housework and going to see the doctor to start sorting some issues out that we are having with Baby bear at the moment. I will share everything that’s going on once we have a better idea of what we are facing. Wednesday was a quiet day other than our usual swimming lesson which ended up getting cancelled anyway due to the bad weather.

Thursday, I barely saw Daddy bear between him leaving for work before we woke up, then us both being at work all day. We saw each other for 30 minutes between me getting home and then going out for my driving lesson getting ready for my test in the next few weeks. Once I was home we had an hour together before Daddy bear headed out for his boy’s night with his friends.

Friday Baby bear then has his friend over to play and have dinner. I have said before how much I enjoy watching him play with friends and socialise with children his age. And if I’m being honest I love a house full of little people and laughter. I then had another chilled night while Daddy bear was out which was well needed after a full week at work my back was killing me.

Saturday, I decided I should go over the hospital to get checked over so V was amazing and watched Baby bear for me so we could go over. After 3 long hours of waiting the doctor told me he thinks I have chipped my shoulder blade which is causing me all the pain. So they have advised for me to try and take it easy and not push myself to much to try and help it heal but it can take around 6 – 8 weeks to heal and stop hurting. Once we was home we then had to run and do the weekly food shop before taking Baby bear to the options for his very first eye test. It went very well and I will include how that went in the update I’m hoping will be up Wednesday but we all know how well Wednesday have been going for me lately.

Anyway, that brings us to today. We have had quite a good day while still allowing me to rest. Daddy bear has been out all day doing part of his motorbike test so Baby bear and I headed over to the park with some friends for a picnic and a catch-up. We then ended up coming back to our house as it started to rain and the children still wanted to play. Once they headed home I then spent a little time resting on the sofa with my heat mat before I made sure everything was ready for another week at work and school. Daddy bear then came home and cooked dinner before we cuddled up on the sofa for a movie before bed.

So here is to another week and the last full week at school before the children break up for the summer. Surely I’m not the only one excited to have our little people at home again. I hope you have all had a good week x
